Keep your Xero books up to date without hiring a bookkeeper
Connect Xero and send receipts by email or WhatsApp. Bookkeepery codes the payments, matches the receipts, and asks when it cannot tell what something is. At quarter end you get a VAT return ready to check and send to HMRC. From £29 a month.
What you are buying
Bookkeepery is software that does the monthly bookkeeping on a UK Xero file. You already have Xero. You connect it, forward receipts, and the books stay current. There is no second ledger, and your accountant can open the same organisation they use today.
A typical human bookkeeper for a small limited company charges £150–400 a month. Bookkeepery starts at £29 a month plus VAT because the coding and matching are done by software, not by a person billed by the hour.
What happens every month
Bank and Stripe activity is pulled in and coded. Receipts you send by email or WhatsApp are matched to the payment. When a receipt is missing, or a supplier is unclear, you get a question in the same thread. At month end you get a short list of what is still open. If you are VAT registered, you also get a draft return to check.
What is not included
Bookkeepery does not file VAT with HMRC, run payroll, handle CIS, or move money. Those stay with you or your accountant. If you need tax advice or a year-end accountant, keep that person and point them at a current Xero file.
